- Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary
The sanctuary represents a coastal woodland ecosystem of Western Ghats, which makes the habitat very rich and offers a serene experience to visitors. Extending over an area of about 53 sq. kilometers, the sanctuary supports the panther, sambar deer, wild boar, barking deer and hyena. The main attraction of the Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary, however, is the beautiful Giant Indian Squirrel, but given its shy disposition, catching a glimpse is not an easy prospect.
